  1. Conduct clinical assessments and provide treatment to patients participating in research studies in the field of psychiatry.
  2. Collaborate with research team to develop and implement protocols for clinical trials and studies.
  3. Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as needed.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment.
  5. Educate patients and their families about the research study and answer any questions or concerns.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient data and study protocols.
  7. Adhere to all ethical and safety guidelines in research practices.
  8. Participate in data analysis and contribute to research publications.
  9. Remain up-to-date on current research developments and best practices in the field of psychiatry.
  10. Assist in the recruitment and screening of potential study participants.
  11. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and researchers to ensure the smooth operation of studies and trials.
  12. Facilitate communication between patients, research team, and other healthcare providers.
  13. Attend and participate in team meetings and conferences to discuss progress and potential issues.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and research data.
  15. Represent the University of Cincinnati and the Department of Psychiatry in a professional and positive manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Education And Certification: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Master's Or Doctorate Degree In Nursing Or Physician Assistant Studies, As Well As A Valid License To Practice In The State Of Ohio.

  • Experience In Psychiatric Research: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Conducting Research In The Field Of Psychiatry, With A Strong Understanding Of Research Methodology And Data Analysis.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Role Requires Frequent Communication With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals, Therefore The Candidate Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate And Coordinate With Team Members.

  • Proven Organizational And Time-Management Abilities: As A Research Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing Multiple Research Projects Simultaneously. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Exceptional Organizational And Time-Management Skills To Meet Project Deadlines And Maintain Accurate Records.

  • Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Analyze And Interpret Complex Data To Assist With Research Projects.
