- Provide legal counsel and support to students, faculty, and staff at the University of Cincinnati.
- Stay up-to-date and knowledgeable on relevant laws, regulations, and policies that affect the university community.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to advise on a variety of legal issues and concerns.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including students, faculty, and staff, to understand their legal needs and provide effective solutions.
- Collaborate with university departments and external legal resources as needed to address complex legal matters.
- Communicate legal information and advice in a clear and understandable manner to individuals with varying levels of legal understanding.
- Review and draft legal documents, contracts, and policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist with the development and implementation of training programs and workshops related to legal issues.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner.
- Act as a resource and advocate for issues related to equity and justice within the university community.
- Stay organized and manage a caseload to ensure timely and efficient handling of legal matters.
- Continuously evaluate and improve legal processes and procedures to better serve the university community.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to further enhance legal skills and expertise.
- Represent the university in legal proceedings and negotiations when necessary.
- Uphold the values and mission of the University of Cincinnati and promote a positive and inclusive campus culture.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.
Active Membership In Good Standing With The Ohio State Bar Association.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Practicing Law, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Proficiency In Legal Research And Writing, As Well As Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Individuals And Teams.
