  1. Create and deliver engaging and informative course content for undergraduate and graduate level courses in architecture and interior design.
  2. Develop and implement lesson plans and learning objectives that align with the University's curriculum and standards.
  3. Evaluate and grade student work, providing constructive feedback to promote growth and improvement.
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  5. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in architecture and interior design and incorporate them into course material.
  6. Serve as a mentor and resource for students, offering guidance and support in their academic and professional development.
  7. Collaborate with other faculty members to promote interdisciplinary learning and enhance the overall educational experience for students.
  8. Attend faculty meetings and participate in departmental initiatives to contribute to the continuous improvement of the program.
  9. Maintain regular office hours to provide additional support and assistance to students outside of class.
  10. Adhere to all University policies and procedures and uphold academic integrity standards.
  11. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current in the field of architecture and interior design.
  12. Represent the University and the department in a professional and positive manner.
  13. Conduct research and publish scholarly work related to architecture and interior design.
  14. Support and participate in recruitment and retention efforts to attract and retain top-quality students.
  15. Collaborate with industry professionals and organizations to promote partnerships and enhance opportunities for students.

Job Qualifications
  • Relevant Education And Experience: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Architecture Or Interior Design, As Well As Significant Professional Experience In The Field.

  • Teaching Experience: Previous Experience Teaching Architecture Or Interior Design Courses At The University Level, Demonstrating The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Concepts And Engage Students In The Learning Process.

  • Professional Accreditations: Ideally, The Candidate Should Hold Professional Accreditations Such As Ncidq Or Aia, Demonstrating A High Level Of Expertise And Knowledge In The Field.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Students, Faculty, And Staff Is Essential For An Adjunct Instructor At The University Of Cincinnati.
