- Create and deliver engaging and informative course content for undergraduate and graduate level courses in architecture and interior design.
- Develop and implement lesson plans and learning objectives that align with the University's curriculum and standards.
- Evaluate and grade student work, providing constructive feedback to promote growth and improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in architecture and interior design and incorporate them into course material.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for students, offering guidance and support in their academic and professional development.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to promote interdisciplinary learning and enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in departmental initiatives to contribute to the continuous improvement of the program.
- Maintain regular office hours to provide additional support and assistance to students outside of class.
- Adhere to all University policies and procedures and uphold academic integrity standards.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current in the field of architecture and interior design.
- Represent the University and the department in a professional and positive manner.
- Conduct research and publish scholarly work related to architecture and interior design.
- Support and participate in recruitment and retention efforts to attract and retain top-quality students.
- Collaborate with industry professionals and organizations to promote partnerships and enhance opportunities for students.
Relevant Education And Experience: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Architecture Or Interior Design, As Well As Significant Professional Experience In The Field.
Teaching Experience: Previous Experience Teaching Architecture Or Interior Design Courses At The University Level, Demonstrating The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Concepts And Engage Students In The Learning Process.
Professional Accreditations: Ideally, The Candidate Should Hold Professional Accreditations Such As Ncidq Or Aia, Demonstrating A High Level Of Expertise And Knowledge In The Field.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Students, Faculty, And Staff Is Essential For An Adjunct Instructor At The University Of Cincinnati.
