- Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive course materials for the Law & Paralegal Studies program.
- Facilitate classroom discussions and activities to encourage critical thinking and application of legal concepts.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their assignments and performance.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure consistency and alignment of course content.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to incorporate into curriculum and teaching.
- Meet with students during office hours to provide additional support and guidance.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for students, demonstrating professionalism and ethical behavior in the legal field.
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching methods and materials.
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of students in the Law & Paralegal Studies program.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
- Adhere to university policies and procedures, including academic integrity and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and university staff.
- Attend and participate in university events and activities related to the Law & Paralegal Studies program.
- Act as a liaison between the university and the legal community to foster professional partnerships and opportunities for students.
- Represent the university in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Practicing Law In Relevant Field(S)
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Legal Principles And Procedures
Previous Teaching Or Training Experience, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Engage And Connect With Students From Diverse Backgrounds.
