  1. Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures.
  2. Utilize evidence-based practice to deliver high-quality care to patients.
  3. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  4. Monitor and assess patients' physical and emotional well-being before, during, and after neurosurgical procedures.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, and post-operative care.
  7. Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
  8. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
  9. Monitor and respond to changes in patients' conditions and report any concerns to the physician.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  12. Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and maintain open and effective communication with patients, families, and team members.
  13. Provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout their treatment journey.
  14. Serve as an advocate for patients and ensure their needs are met.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid And Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Illinois.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Basic Life Support (Bls) Certifications.

  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree From An Accredited Program.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Neurosurgery Or Neuroscience Unit.

  • Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
