We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Procedure Scheduler for our OB/GYN department. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive timely and efficient care by scheduling their procedures and appointments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as a strong ability to multitask and prioritize.   1. Schedule patient procedures and appointments according to department guidelines and physician availability.
  2. Communicate with patients and their families regarding scheduling, instructions, and any necessary preparation for procedures.
  3. Collaborate with other departments and team members to coordinate appointments and procedures for patients.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of scheduled procedures and appointments.
  5. Utilize electronic scheduling systems and databases to manage patient information and appointments.
  6. Monitor and manage waitlists for procedures, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.
  7. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have regarding their appointments.
  8. Coordinate with insurance companies to obtain necessary authorizations and referrals for procedures.
  9. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
  10. Participate in department meetings and trainings to stay updated on policies and procedures.
  11. Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as needed.
  12. Adhere to department and hospital policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For This Position Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Competency In Essential Skills Such As Reading, Writing, And Math.

  • Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Scheduling Or Administrative Role, Is Preferred. This Demonstrates An Understanding Of Healthcare Procedures And Terminology, As Well As The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Patient Procedure Scheduler, The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial. This Includes Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Provide Clear And Concise Instructions.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Essential For This Position. This Knowledge Allows The Scheduler To Accurately Schedule Procedures And Communicate With Patients And Healthcare Professionals.

  • Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills: The Ability To Juggle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Responsibilities Is Important For A Patient Procedure Scheduler. This Includes Managing A High Volume Of Calls And Appointments, As Well As Maintaining Accurate Records And Schedules. Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills Are Necessary To Ensure Efficient And Effective Scheduling.
