  1. Provide high-quality patient care in the operating room setting, adhering to best practices and standards of care.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
  3. Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate and respond to patient needs during surgical procedures.
  4. Prepare and maintain the operating room, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring adequate supplies are available.
  5. Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with positioning and preparation for surgery.
  6. Administer medications and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  7. Document patient care and progress accurately and in a timely manner.
  8. Maintain a safe and clean environment in the operating room, adhering to infection control protocols.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support as needed.
  10. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on the latest advancements in surgical procedures and techniques.
  11. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.
  12. Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families during challenging and stressful situations.
  13. Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed and communicated to the healthcare team.
  14. Act as a mentor to new staff members and assist with their training and development.
  15. Take part in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of medical research.

Job Qualifications
  • Bls And Acls Certifications.

  • Active Rn Licensure In The State Of Illinois, With A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Perioperative Nursing.

  • Current Certification In Perioperative Nursing (Cnor) Or Willingness To Obtain Within 6 Months Of Employment.

  • Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Adapt To Fast-Paced And High-Pressure Situations.

  • Availability To Work 12-Hour Shifts On Weekends, With The Flexibility To Cover Additional Shifts As Needed.
