Job Description

The University of California, San Diego is looking for a committed and enthusiastic University Safety Official to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating a safe and secure environment for our students, staff, and visitors.This position requires a combination of strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. The primary responsibility of the University Safety Official is to ensure the safety and security of the UC San Diego campus. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of safety and security protocols, practices, and procedures, as well as a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.To be considered for this job, you must have a minimum of two years' experience in a safety or security-related field, as well as a Bachelor's degree in public safety or a related field. Knowledge of relevant security and safety practices, laws, and regulations is essential, as is a valid California driver's license.We are looking for someone who is a team player and can work collaboratively with colleagues from all areas of the University. Our ideal candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to think quickly and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
