- Monitor and interpret vital signs and cardiac rhythms of patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition.
- Document and report any changes or abnormalities in patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain and troubleshoot telemetry equipment to ensure accurate readings.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families about telemetry procedures and results.
- Adhere to all hospital and unit policies and procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Assist in the transfer and transportation of patients as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on best practices and new technology.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient safety and care.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients during their stay in the CVICU.
- Ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available for use.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines at all times.
- Perform CPR and other emergency procedures as needed.
- Follow all hospital and regulatory standards for patient care.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient advocacy and care.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Continuously strive to improve patient care and outcomes.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Telemetry Technician, Preferably In A Cvicu Setting.
Certification As A Telemetry Technician Or Cardiac Monitor Technician.
Knowledge Of Cardiac Rhythms And Ability To Interpret And Identify Abnormalities.
Familiarity With Electronic Medical Records And Proficiency In Documenting Patient Information.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Independently And Make Clinical Decisions.
