- Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on various campus buildings, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Ensure the safety and functionality of all building systems and equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for building maintenance.
- Coordinate with other maintenance team members to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance duties.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior maintenance workers.
- Participate in regular meetings and provide input on ways to improve building maintenance processes.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and other campus staff.
- Stay informed about industry advancements and new technologies in building maintenance.

Extensive Knowledge Of Building Maintenance Procedures: The Senior Building Maintenance Worker Should Have A Deep Understanding Of All Aspects Of Building Maintenance, Including Hvac, Plumbing, Electrical And Carpentry Work.
Experience In A Supervisory Role: This Position Requires The Ability To Oversee And Direct A Team Of Maintenance Workers. Previous Experience In A Supervisory Role Is Essential.
Strong Problem-Solving Skills: The Senior Building Maintenance Worker Should Be Able To Quickly Identify And Troubleshoot Maintenance Issues, And Develop Effective Solutions To Resolve Them.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Regular Interactions With Other Departments, Contractors, And University Staff. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate And Coordinate With Different Parties.
