  1. Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on various campus buildings, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
  2. Ensure the safety and functionality of all building systems and equipment.
  3. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for building maintenance.
  5. Coordinate with other maintenance team members to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  6. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance duties.
  7. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  8. Assist with training and mentoring junior maintenance workers.
  9. Participate in regular meetings and provide input on ways to improve building maintenance processes.
  10. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and other campus staff.
  11. Stay informed about industry advancements and new technologies in building maintenance.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Building Maintenance Procedures: The Senior Building Maintenance Worker Should Have A Deep Understanding Of All Aspects Of Building Maintenance, Including Hvac, Plumbing, Electrical And Carpentry Work.

  • Experience In A Supervisory Role: This Position Requires The Ability To Oversee And Direct A Team Of Maintenance Workers. Previous Experience In A Supervisory Role Is Essential.

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: The Senior Building Maintenance Worker Should Be Able To Quickly Identify And Troubleshoot Maintenance Issues, And Develop Effective Solutions To Resolve Them.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Regular Interactions With Other Departments, Contractors, And University Staff. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate And Coordinate With Different Parties.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Regulations And Procedures: As A Senior Role, This Position Requires A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Regulations And Procedures To Ensure A Safe Working Environment For All Staff And Students. The Candidate Should Have A Strong Track Record Of Implementing And Enforcing Safety Protocols.
