Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For The Position Of Registered Nurse - Cardiac Device At The University Of California, San Diego. This Degree Should Be From An Accredited Nursing Program.
Rn License In The State Of California: A Valid And Current Rn License Issued By The California Board Of Registered Nursing Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Must Maintain This License Throughout Their Employment At Uc San Diego.
Acls And Bls Certification: The Candidate Must Possess Current Certifications In Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Basic Life Support (Bls). These Certifications Must Be From An Accredited Organization And Should Be Maintained Throughout The Employment Period.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Cardiac Nursing: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Cardiac Nursing Setting. This Could Include Experience In A Cardiac Unit, Cardiac Surgery, Or Cardiac Device Clinic.
Knowledge Of Cardiac Devices And Procedures: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Cardiac Devices Such As Pacemakers, Defibrillators, And Cardiac Monitors. They Should Also Be Familiar With Procedures Related To These Devices, Including Implantation, Programming, And Troubleshooting. Experience With Electronic Medical Records And Data Entry Is Also Preferred.
