4. Develop and maintain a portfolio of major gift donors, stewarding them through personalized cultivation plans.

7. Provide exceptional donor stewardship, including personalized recognition and stewardship plans.

9. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential donors and key stakeholders.
10. Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in philanthropy and fundraising.
11. Collaborate with other departments and staff to ensure a coordinated approach to fundraising and donor relations.
12. Represent the University of California, San Diego's philanthropic team at events and conferences.
13. Attend and actively participate in team meetings, sharing updates and progress with colleagues.
14. Adhere to ethical fundraising practices and maintain confidentiality of donor information.
15. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the philanthropic program for the surgical department.
