Patient Care Technician

At University of California, San Diego, we are seeking an experienced and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential patient care services and support to our patients and their families. You will be responsible for a variety of duties, including vital signs, patient transport, EKG's and phlebotomy, as well as ensuring a positive patient experience and providing exceptional customer service.To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent as well as at least one year of experience in a health care setting. You must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and have knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and techniques. Additionally, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
