  1. Oversee and manage the nutrition room service operations at UC San Diego.
  2. Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of quality and nutritious meals to students.
  3. Develop and implement nutritionally balanced menus that meet the diverse dietary needs of students.
  4. Train and supervise a team of food service staff, ensuring they adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and place orders for necessary supplies.
  6. Collaborate with campus health and wellness departments to promote healthy eating habits and provide educational resources to students.
  7. Conduct regular menu evaluations and make necessary adjustments to meet changing dietary trends and student preferences.
  8. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  9. Stay up-to-date on current nutrition guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with local vendors and farmers to source fresh and sustainable ingredients.
  11. Manage budget and expenses related to the nutrition room service.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the nutrition room service program.
  13. Collaborate with other campus departments to promote and market the nutrition room service program to students.
  14. Serve as a role model for healthy eating habits and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  15. Comply with all university policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Food Science, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Food Service Management, With A Focus On Nutrition And Dietary Needs.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Nutrition Guidelines And Regulations, Such As Fda And Usda Standards.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With A Diverse Group Of Individuals.

  • Experience In Menu Planning, Recipe Development, And Creating Nutritionally Balanced Meals That Meet The Needs Of A Large Population.
