Job Description

As a Medical Assistant-Transplant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to our transplant team and ensuring the best possible care for our patients. We are looking for candidates who are highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical setting.   1. Provide excellent patient care and support to patients undergoing transplant procedures.
  2. Assist with pre-and post-operative procedures and appointments, including obtaining vital signs, monitoring patient reactions, and administering medications as directed by the transplant team.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and document patient information in electronic medical records.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and coordinated care experience.
  5. Assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating follow-up care, and managing patient referrals.
  6. Prepare and maintain exam rooms and equipment for procedures, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
  7. Collaborate with the transplant team to ensure timely and accurate patient care.
  8. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and medication instructions.
  9. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  10. Keep abreast of current healthcare trends and participate in ongoing education and training to maintain knowledge and skills.
  11. Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining inventory of medical supplies.
  12. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by working collaboratively with team members and showing empathy and compassion towards patients.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  14. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the transplant team or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Credentials From Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Medical Setting, Preferably In Transplant Medicine.

  • Knowledge Of Transplant Procedures, Medications, And Patient Care Protocols.

  • Strong Communication Skills And Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.

  • Familiarity With Electronic Medical Records And Ability To Accurately Document Patient Information.
