Your duties will include taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, assisting with procedures, and maintaining accurate medical records.To be successful in this position, you must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient setting, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a strong attention to detail.   1. Greet and welcome patients to the University of California, San Diego and the Internal Medicine department.
  2. Provide exceptional patient care by assisting physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in delivering comprehensive care.
  3. Take and record vital signs accurately and efficiently.
  4. Prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  7. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and adherence to all medical protocols and procedures.
  8. Utilize electronic medical records to document patient information and maintain confidentiality.
  9. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  10. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  11. Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of current medical procedures, equipment, and technology.
  12. Mentor and train new Medical Assistants as needed.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, colleagues, and the organization.
  14. Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
  15. Adhere to all University of California, San Diego policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Medical Assistant, Preferably In An Internal Medicine Setting.

  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program.

  • Current Certification As A Medical Assistant (Cma) Through A Recognized Agency.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Electronic Medical Records, And Standard Medical Procedures.
