  1. Conduct electrocardiograms and other cardiac procedures accurately and efficiently.
  2. Monitor and record patient vital signs and assist with basic patient care.
  3. Prepare and maintain exam rooms and equipment for procedures.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians.
  5. Provide compassionate and attentive patient care while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  7. Keep accurate and detailed patient records.
  8. Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  9. Assist with scheduling patient appointments and coordinating patient care.
  10. Stay up-to-date with current medical practices and procedures related to electrocardiology.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support as needed.
  12. Adhere to all University of California, San Diego policies and procedures.
  13. Participate in team meetings and contribute to departmental initiatives.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the University of California, San Diego.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant: The Candidate Should Have A Valid Certification As A Medical Assistant From An Accredited Institution.

  • Experience In Electrocardiography: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing And Interpreting Electrocardiograms (Ekgs) In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Cardiology Procedures: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Cardiology Procedures Such As Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring, And Echocardiography.

  • Ability To Assist With Cardiac Procedures: The Candidate Should Have The Skills And Experience To Assist The Physician With Various Cardiac Procedures, Such As Placing Cardiac Monitors And Assisting With Cardioversion.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced Environment.
