You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure that all services provided to our patients are appropriately documented and billed.To excel in this role, you must have a strong understanding of medical coding and billing processes, as well as excellent communication and critical thinking skills.   1. Review and correct medical records to ensure accurate and timely documentation for billing purposes.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure all services provided to patients are appropriately documented and billed.
  3. Maintain a strong understanding of medical coding and billing processes.
  4. Adhere to CMS guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance.
  5. Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare professionals to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  6. Conduct thorough and detailed reviews of medical records to identify any potential errors or missing information.
  7. Update and maintain accurate records of all billing and coding activities.
  8. Participate in training and educational opportunities to stay current on industry changes and best practices.
  9. Follow established protocols and procedures for handling confidential patient information.
  10. Utilize critical thinking skills to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process enhancements.
  11. Collaborate with other departments and team members to improve overall efficiency and accuracy of billing and coding processes.
  12. Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and external partners.
  13. Continuously monitor and analyze coding and billing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  14. Participate in audits and other quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert and provide support and guidance to other team members as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Utilization Management, Preferably In An Inpatient Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Cms Regulations And Guidelines Related To Inpatient Admissions And Documentation Requirements.

  • Strong Critical Thinking And Analytical Skills To Review Complex Medical Records And Identify Areas For Improvement.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams And Provide Education On Best Practices For Inpatient Care.
