  1. Greet and welcome visitors and guests to the University of California, San Diego in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Serve as the first point of contact for all inquiries and provide accurate information about the university and its services.
  3. Maintain an organized and efficient front desk operation by managing incoming calls, emails, and appointments.
  4. Ensure a positive and welcoming experience for all visitors by providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  5. Coordinate with other departments and staff members to assist with visitor requests and inquiries.
  6. Maintain and update visitor logs, records, and databases to ensure accurate and timely information.
  7. Handle and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  8. Maintain an organized and presentable front desk area, including keeping supplies stocked and organized.
  9. Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings, events, and facility reservations.
  10. Follow all university policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  11. Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance the front desk operation.
  12. Continuously strive to uphold the university's values of diversity, excellence, and innovation in all interactions.
  13. Attend training sessions and stay updated on university policies, procedures, and services to provide accurate and up-to-date information to visitors.
  14. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
