- Lead and manage the network and voice services for the University of California, San Diego campus.
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for the network and voice infrastructure, in alignment with the university's overall goals and objectives.
- Oversee the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of the enterprise network and voice infrastructure.
- Ensure that the network and voice services meet the ever-evolving needs of the campus community, and provide innovative solutions to address any challenges or issues.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders across the university, including faculty, staff, and students, to understand their needs and requirements and provide effective network and voice solutions.
- Manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their growth and development.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and partners to leverage their expertise and resources in delivering high-quality network and voice services.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and standards for network and voice services to ensure consistency and compliance across the campus.
- Monitor and analyze network and voice service performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes to enhance the overall user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in network and voice services, and make recommendations for their implementation at the university.
- Manage the budget for network and voice services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient utilization of resources.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on the status of network and voice services and highlighting any issues or concerns.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and ensure that network and voice services are accessible and inclusive for all members of the campus community.
- Represent the university and network and voice services at conferences, meetings, and other events, promoting UC San Diego's mission and values.
- Uphold the university's policies and standards of conduct, ensuring ethical and professional behavior at all times
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Network And Voice Services, Preferably In A Large-Scale Enterprise Environment.
Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Implementing Complex Network And Voice Projects.
Experience In Budget Management, Strategic Planning, And Vendor Management.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Partnerships With Various Stakeholders Within The University Community.
