  1. Perform high-quality CT scans on patients in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
  3. Operate and maintain CT equipment, including performing regular quality control checks.
  4. Review patient medical history and follow proper imaging protocols.
  5. Communicate and collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.
  6. Provide clear and detailed instructions to patients regarding imaging procedures.
  7. Maintain accurate and organized patient records and imaging data.
  8. Stay current with advancements in CT technology and techniques through continuing education and training.
  9. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  10. Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments.
  11. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients and their families.
  12. Troubleshoot technical issues and report any equipment malfunctions.
  13. Keep work area clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for process improvement.
  15. Uphold the values and standards of the University of California, San Diego, and promote a positive image of the institution.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current And Valid Certification As A Ct Technologist From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Ct Technologist, Preferably In An Academic Or Hospital Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Ct Imaging Techniques, Radiation Safety, And Patient Care.

  • Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Ct Equipment And Software, Including Experience With Advanced Protocols And Post-Processing Techniques.
