  • Administer anesthesia to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans for each patient
  • Educate patients and their families about the anesthesia process and answer any questions or concerns
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of anesthesia administration and patient progress
  • Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in anesthesia techniques, equipment, and medications
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall improvement of patient care
  • Uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and staff
  • Serve as a resource for other healthcare professionals and students, providing guidance and support as needed

  • Graduate Degree In Nursing: A Crna At Uc San Diego Must Have A Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Program. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received The Necessary Education And Training In Anesthesia Techniques And Patient Care.

  • Active Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Current Certification As A Crna From The National Board Of Certification And Recertification For Nurse Anesthetists (Nbcrna). This Demonstrates A Commitment To Maintaining The Highest Standards Of Practice And Staying Updated On The Latest Advancements In The Field.

  • State Licensure: The Candidate Must Have An Active License To Practice As A Registered Nurse In The State Of California. This Ensures That The Candidate Meets The State's Requirements For Nursing Practice And Has The Necessary Credentials To Provide Anesthesia Services.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience: Uc San Diego Requires A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Crna In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Handle Complex Cases, Work Independently, And Provide High-Quality Care To Patients.
