Responsibilities:

1. Manage patient scheduling, including coordinating appointments, adjusting existing schedules, and making cancellations.
2. Monitor patient records, ensuring accuracy of information and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
3. Ensure data integrity by verifying accuracy of data entry and updating patient records as needed.
4. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure patient needs are met in a timely manner.
5. Answer phone calls from patients and other healthcare providers, providing assistance and information as requested.
6. Utilize medical terminology, medical coding and billing systems to accurately track services, payments, and insurance information.
7. Prepare and submit reports on scheduling activity and patient data.
8. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with HIPAA regulations.
9. Utilize computer applications and systems to manage scheduling tasks.
10. Provide excellent customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
