Registered Nurse Trauma Surgical ICU

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our talented team at University Hospitals of Cleveland Medical Center in the Trauma Surgical ICU. Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience in critical care with a strong working knowledge of trauma and surgical care. Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Trauma Surgical ICU.
2. Monitor patients’ conditions and progress, ensuring that all treatments are administered in a timely, effective manner.
3. Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, based on the patients’ needs and in accordance with physicians’ orders.
4. Monitor and adjust patients’ medications as necessary.
5. Provide health education, counseling, and emotional support for patients and their families.
6. Participate in patient discharge planning and coordinate patient follow-up care.
7. Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
8. Maintain patient medical records and ensure accuracy and completeness.
9. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
10. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
