  1. Provide exceptional care to patients and their families in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).
  2. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  3. Monitor and assess patient's condition, administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and document all care provided.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  6. Keep abreast of current medical practices and procedures, and participate in ongoing education and training.
  7. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.
  8. Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate and respond to changes in patient's condition.
  9. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, promoting a positive patient experience.
  10. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that the patient's needs and preferences are considered in all aspects of care.
  11. Serve as a role model for other nurses and staff, demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to excellence.
  12. Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based best practices.
  14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution: This Degree Provides The Necessary Foundation Of Knowledge In Nursing Theory, Patient Care, And Critical Thinking Skills.

  • Current Registered Nurse License In The State Of Ohio: This Ensures That The Candidate Is Qualified And Authorized To Practice As A Nurse In The State Of Ohio.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Acute Care Setting: Working In A Fast-Paced And High-Pressure Environment, Such As The Medical Icu, Requires A Certain Level Of Experience And Expertise.

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certification: This Certification Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Respond To Cardiac Emergencies And Manage Critical Conditions.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: In The Medical Icu, Nurses Must Work Closely With Other Healthcare Professionals, Including Physicians, Respiratory Therapists, And Other Nurses. Effective Communication And Teamwork Are Crucial For Providing High-Quality Patient Care.
