Job Description

The Radiology Technician Extender at the University Hospitals of Cleveland Medical Center is a unique and demanding role that requires an individual with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and an ability to work within a team environment. The ideal candidate is an energetic professional who is passionate about patient care and has the requisite technical and administrative skills. The Radiology Technician Extender will be responsible for providing a high level of patient care by performing a variety of medical imaging procedures in accordance with department protocols, policies, and procedures. In addition, they will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the radiology department while ensuring a positive and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.Required Qualifications:• Associate Degree in Radiology Technology, Medical Imaging, or a related field from an accredited school• ARRT certification in Radiography• Current State of Ohio Radiologic Technologist license• At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends

Responsibilities for Radiology Technician Extender:

• Perform a variety of medical imaging procedures in accordance with department protocols, policies, and procedures. • Provide a high level of patient care in a safe and positive environment. • Manage the daily operations of the radiology department. • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and laws. • Train and supervise staff members. • Maintain accurate records of patient care and imaging procedures. • Monitor and evaluate patient care and imaging results. • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care. • Schedule, coordinate, and perform imaging studies. • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff. • Monitor and maintain imaging equipment. • Stay up-to-date on advances in radiologic technology.
