Job Description

At University Hospitals of Cleveland Medical Center, we are seeking an experienced and energetic Physical Therapist Inpatient to join our team. Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about helping others recover from injury and illness, and is committed to providing the highest quality of care. The Physical Therapist Inpatient role requires a graduate-level degree in physical therapy from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association, along with a valid physical therapy license in the state of Ohio. In addition, a minimum of one year of experience in an inpatient setting is preferred. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team. Above all, we are looking for a compassionate individual who can demonstrate empathy and the ability to make each patient feel comfortable and respected. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide physical therapy services to inpatients according to the needs of the individual patient, including assessments, evaluations, treatments, and follow-ups.
  2. Develop and implement an individualized treatment plan for each patient, taking into account their needs and goals.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  4. Follow all safety and infection control protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.
  5. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  6. Educate patients and families about the physical therapy process and their role in the recovery process.
  7. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current in the field of physical therapy.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
