1. Ensure the safe and accurate handling of controlled substances within the pharmacy department.
2. Maintain strict adherence to all state and federal regulations related to controlled substances.
3. Monitor and track inventory levels of controlled substances and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.
4. Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance with controlled substances policies and procedures.
5. Collaborate with other members of the pharmacy team to ensure timely and accurate dispensing of controlled substances.
6. Educate and train pharmacy staff on proper procedures for handling and dispensing controlled substances.
7. Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure proper authorization and documentation for controlled substances.
8. Maintain confidentiality and security of controlled substances at all times.
