- Transport patients safely and efficiently throughout the hospital, including to and from various departments, procedures, and appointments.
- Prioritize and manage transport requests to ensure timely and effective patient movement.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and hospital staff to ensure a positive and comfortable experience.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy while interacting with patients and their loved ones.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and infection control measures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
- Keep accurate records of patient transport activities and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with other hospital departments to coordinate patient transfers and discharges.
- Provide assistance to patients with mobility limitations, including using appropriate equipment and techniques.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Patient Transporter At University Hospitals Of Cleveland Medical Center Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures Basic Literacy And Communication Skills Necessary For The Job.
Experience In Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Particularly In Patient Transportation, Is Preferred For This Position. This Demonstrates An Understanding Of The Unique Needs And Protocols Of A Medical Facility.
