
Nurse Educator - High Risk Postpartum Unit

- Develop and implement educational programs and resources for the nursing staff on the High Risk Postpartum Unit.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops on best practices for caring for high-risk postpartum patients.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure that the nursing staff is up-to-date on the latest medical advancements and techniques.
- Evaluate the performance of the nursing staff and provide feedback and support to promote growth and improvement.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for the nursing staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Stay current with industry standards and regulations related to high-risk postpartum care and incorporate this knowledge into training and education programs.
- Create and maintain educational materials and resources, including manuals, handouts, and online modules.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and resources to enhance the education and training provided to the nursing staff.
- Collaborate with the unit manager to identify and address any knowledge or skill gaps among the nursing staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide support to ensure evidence-based practices are implemented on the unit.
- Serve as a resource for the nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed in the care of high-risk postpartum patients.
- Maintain accurate records of training and education provided to the nursing staff.
- Stay updated on the latest research and developments in the field of high-risk postpartum care and share this information with the nursing staff.
- Collaborate with the unit manager to develop and implement policies and procedures related to high-risk postpartum care.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure that the nursing staff is trained and compliant with safety measures.
- Act as a liaison between the nursing staff and other departments within the hospital to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Participate in performance evaluations and contribute to the hiring and onboarding process of new nursing staff.

Current Rn License And Master's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In High Risk Postpartum Nursing, Including Experience With Complex Medical Conditions And Complications
Certification As A Nurse Educator Or Willingness To Obtain Within The First Year Of Employment
Strong Clinical And Teaching Skills, With The Ability To Develop And Implement Educational Programs For A Diverse Group Of Learners
Excellent Communication, Leadership, And Organizational Skills, With A Commitment To Evidence-Based Practice And Continuous Learning And Improvement.
