- Provide compassionate and high-quality medical care to pediatric patients in the Peds Sports Medicine department.
- Travel to various locations to deliver healthcare services to young athletes.
- Utilize strong pediatric care knowledge and skills to assess and treat patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Monitor and record vital signs, administer medications, and perform diagnostic tests as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all infection control and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure clear understanding of medical procedures and treatment plans.

Formal Education And Training: A Medical Assistant At University Hospitals Of Cleveland Medical Center Would Require A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Along With A Certification Or Associate Degree In Medical Assisting From An Accredited Program.
Pediatric Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In A Pediatric Setting, Preferably In Sports Medicine, To Ensure Familiarity With The Unique Needs And Challenges Of Young Patients.
Knowledge Of Sports Medicine: A Thorough Understanding Of Sports Injuries, Treatment Plans, And Rehabilitation Techniques Are Essential For This Role. Previous Experience In A Sports Medicine Setting Would Be Highly Beneficial.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Medical Assistant, Effective Communication With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial. The Ability To Explain Medical Procedures And Instructions Clearly And Empathetically Is Necessary For This Position.
Flexibility And Willingness To Travel: This Position Requires The Candidate To Travel To Different Locations Within The University Hospitals Network, Including Satellite Clinics And Sports Facilities. The Candidate Must Be Willing To Work Flexible Hours And Adapt To Different Work Environments.
