Job Description

The University Hospitals of Cleveland Medical Center is seeking an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team and provide compassionate, patient-centered counseling services. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with UH, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to providing outstanding care to our patients. You will be able to work in an environment that values professional growth and development. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for mental health and a commitment to providing high-quality care to our diverse patient population.The ideal candidate for this position will possess a Master's degree in Counseling or a related field, along with an active LPC license in the state of Ohio. In addition, the successful candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience working in a mental health setting. Knowledge of evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as experience working with children, adolescents, and adults is highly desired. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, organized, and has strong interpersonal and communication skills. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate, patient-centered counseling services to patients.
  2. Maintain an active LPC license in the state of Ohio.
  3. Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
  4. Utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
  5. Work with children, adolescents, and adults.
  6. Remain current with professional development and mental health best practices.
  7. Follow ethical guidelines as established by the American Counseling Association.
  8. Assist with the development and implementation of treatment plans.
  9. Document patient progress accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  10. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
