We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cell Therapy Lab Specialist/Medical Technologist to join our team.As a Cell Therapy Lab Specialist/Medical Technologist, you will play an integral role in our state-of-the-art cell therapy laboratory, where you will be responsible for processing and analyzing cell therapy products for clinical trials and patient treatments.   1. Process and analyze cell therapy products for clinical trials and patient treatments in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Perform laboratory procedures and techniques according to established protocols and regulations.
  3. Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed.
  4. Ensure compliance with all safety and quality control protocols.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement new laboratory procedures and processes.
  6. Keep accurate and organized records of laboratory procedures and results.
  7. Communicate with physicians, researchers, and other healthcare professionals to discuss laboratory findings and provide recommendations.
  8. Stay up-to-date with current research and advancements in the field of regenerative medicine.
  9. Train and supervise laboratory assistants and technicians.
  10. Participate in research projects and assist with data analysis and interpretation.
  11. Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  13. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and trainings.
  14. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the cell therapy laboratory.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and laboratory findings.
  16. Provide excellent customer service to patients and other healthcare professionals.
  17. Assist with inventory management and ordering of laboratory supplies.
  18. Stay current with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to cell therapy and laboratory operations.
  19. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with maintaining laboratory accreditation.
  20. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or A Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Laboratory Techniques And Procedures.

  • Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt) Or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Cls): Many Employers, Including University Hospitals Of Cleveland Medical Center, Require Certification As A Medical Technologist Or Clinical Laboratory Scientist From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp). This Certification Demonstrates The Candidate's Knowledge And Expertise In The Field.

  • Experience In Cell Therapy Or Regenerative Medicine: Candidates With Prior Experience In A Cell Therapy Or Regenerative Medicine Laboratory Setting Will Be Highly Preferred. This Experience Can Include Working With Stem Cells, Tissue Engineering, Or Gene Therapy Techniques.

  • Familiarity With Regulatory Guidelines And Quality Control Practices: As A Cell Therapy Lab Specialist/Medical Technologist, It Is Crucial To Have A Strong Understanding Of Regulatory Guidelines And Quality Control Practices. This Ensures That All Procedures Are Performed In Compliance With Industry Standards And Patient Safety Is Maintained.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Ability To Analyze And Interpret Laboratory Results Accurately Is Essential For This Role. Additionally, Candidates Should Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise During Laboratory Procedures.
