Job Description

  1. Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of healthcare services provided to UnitedHealth Group members.
  2. Provide clinical expertise and guidance to healthcare teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and evidence-based practices.
  3. Analyze healthcare data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop strategies to address them.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues and implement best practices.
  5. Conduct audits and reviews to assess compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  6. Develop and deliver training programs to educate and empower healthcare teams to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
  7. Serve as a subject matter expert on quality measures and regulations, staying updated on industry developments and best practices.
  8. Lead quality improvement projects and initiatives, setting goals and timelines, and monitoring progress to ensure successful outcomes.
  9. Promote a culture of excellence and continuous quality improvement within the organization.
  10. Act as a liaison between the organization and external agencies and partners to ensure alignment with quality standards and initiatives.
  11. Mentor and coach junior quality nurses and staff, providing guidance and support for their professional growth and development.
  12. Communicate regularly with leadership and stakeholders, providing updates on quality initiatives and outcomes.
  13. Collaborate with healthcare providers and members to gather feedback and incorporate it into quality improvement efforts.
  14. Participate in research and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices to enhance quality of care.
  15. Uphold ethical and professional standards, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all relevant policies and regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Quality Management Role In A Healthcare Setting

  • Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Employment

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Healthcare Quality Metrics And Performance Improvement Processes

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Influence Cross-Functional Teams To Drive Quality Initiatives.
