- Accurately code and abstract medical records for inpatient services using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure proper code assignment and compliance with coding guidelines.
- Identify and report any coding discrepancies or errors to the appropriate parties for resolution.
- Collaborate with medical staff and billing team to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for services rendered.
- Stay updated on coding guidelines and changes in regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Train and mentor junior coding staff to maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure coding accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient health information.
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to clarify coding and billing processes.
- Participate in departmental meetings and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Adhere to all coding and documentation standards and policies set by the company.

Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.
Experience With Electronic Health Record Systems, Such As Epic Or Cerner.
Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Or Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Credential.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Inpatient Medical Coding.
Proficiency In Icd-10-Cm And Pcs Coding Systems.
