  1. Dispensing Medications: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for accurately and efficiently dispensing medications to patients according to prescriptions and safety regulations.
  2. Assisting Pharmacists: The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with licensed Pharmacists to ensure that all prescriptions are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
  3. Maintaining Inventory: This role will involve monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of medications and supplies, as well as placing orders when necessary.
  4. Providing Customer Service: The Pharmacy Technician will interact with patients and other healthcare professionals, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns.
  5. Data Entry: Accurate data entry is a crucial part of this role, as the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for entering prescription and patient information into the system.
  6. Adhering to Regulations: The Pharmacy Technician will be expected to comply with all state and federal regulations regarding the handling and dispensing of medications.
  7. Maintaining Confidentiality: Patient confidentiality is of the utmost importance in the healthcare industry, and the Pharmacy Technician must adhere to all privacy laws and regulations.
  8. Quality Assurance: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all medications are dispensed accurately and in accordance with quality standards.
  9. Training and Development: This role may involve training and mentoring new Pharmacy Technicians, as well as participating in ongoing education and development programs.

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Pharmacy Technician At Unitedhealth Group Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht): Unitedhealth Group Seeks Candidates Who Have Completed A Pharmacy Technician Program And Have Obtained Their Cpht Certification From The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb).

  • Knowledge Of Medications And Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medications, Including Generic And Brand Names, And Medical Terminology Is Essential For A Pharmacy Technician At Unitedhealth Group.

  • Experience With Pharmacy Software Systems: Candidates Should Have Experience Working With Pharmacy Software Systems, Such As Electronic Health Records (Ehrs) And Medication Dispensing Systems, In Order To Accurately And Efficiently Process Prescriptions.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills: Working As A Pharmacy Technician At Unitedhealth Group Requires Excellent Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills In Order To Accurately Handle And Track Medication Orders And Inventory.
