- Provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients receiving home infusion therapy.
- Administer medication and monitor patients for any adverse reactions or changes in condition.
- Educate patients and their families on their treatment plans, including medication administration, potential side effects, and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including medication administration logs and progress notes.
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure understanding and compliance with treatment plans.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during the home infusion process.
- Stay up-to-date on current nursing best practices and trends in home infusion therapy.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations and laws related to nursing and home infusion.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate patient needs and ensure timely and effective care.
- Continuously assess and evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Act as a patient advocate and address any concerns or issues that may arise during the home infusion process.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
- Uphold the mission, values, and standards of UnitedHealth Group while providing exceptional patient care.
Valid Rn License: A Part Time Home Infusion Rn At Unitedhealth Group Must Have A Current And Valid Rn License In The State Where They Will Be Practicing.
Previous Home Infusion Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Home Infusion Setting, As This Role Requires A High Level Of Independence And Autonomy.
Strong Clinical Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Clinical Skills, Including Iv Insertion And Management, Medication Administration, And Wound Care.
Excellent Communication And Documentation Skills: As A Part Time Home Infusion Rn, Effective Communication With Patients, Caregivers, And Other Healthcare Team Members Is Essential. Additionally, Accurate And Timely Documentation Is Critical For Ensuring Quality Care.
Ability To Work Independently: This Role Requires The Ability To Work Independently And Make Critical Decisions In A Fast-Paced Environment. Candidates Should Be Self-Motivated, Organized, And Able To Manage Their Time Effectively.
