This Medical Social Worker will be responsible for providing comprehensive, holistic care to individuals and families of all backgrounds. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the importance of providing excellent patient care with an emphasis on empathy and compassion.The Medical Social Worker will be part of an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals who collaborate to provide comprehensive care. This person will be expected to assess, diagnose, and intervene with patients in order to help them adjust to and cope with medical issues. In addition, the Medical Social Worker will provide emotional support, coordinate services, and help patients access resources.The ideal candidate for this position will have a Master’s degree in Social Work, a valid license to practice in the state of employment, and at least two years of experience in a medical setting. Additional qualifications include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
