  2. Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients.
  3. Verify patient information and insurance coverage.
  4. Collect and process patient payments.
  5. Maintain patient records and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date.
  6. Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
  7. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow.
  8. Respond to patient inquiries and provide information about services and policies.
  9. Manage incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence.
  10. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
  11. Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  12. Stay updated on company policies, procedures, and services.
  13. Handle any escalated patient issues or complaints with empathy and professionalism.
  14. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive and cohesive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Ged: Candidates For The Medical Receptionist Position At Unitedhealth Group Must Possess A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged To Be Considered.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Essential For A Medical Receptionist At Unitedhealth Group. This Includes Knowledge Of Common Medical Procedures, Conditions, And Medications.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As The First Point Of Contact For Patients, A Medical Receptionist Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Greet Patients, Answer Phones, And Handle Inquiries In A Professional And Friendly Manner.
