  9. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve insurance verification processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Knowledge Of Health Insurance Terminology And Industry Regulations: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Insurance Plans, Coverage Options, And Guidelines To Accurately Verify Insurance Eligibility And Benefits.

  • Proficiency In Medical Billing And Coding: Insurance Verification Specialists Must Be Familiar With Medical Codes Such As Cpt, Icd-10, And Hcpcs To Accurately Review And Process Claims.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Communication With Patients, Insurance Providers, And Healthcare Providers. Candidates Should Have Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills And The Ability To Handle Difficult Customer Interactions.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: As Insurance Verification Involves Reviewing And Verifying Large Amounts Of Data, Candidates Must Have Strong Attention To Detail And The Ability To Maintain Accuracy In Their Work.

  • Experience With Insurance Verification Software: While Not Always Required, Experience With Insurance Verification Software Such As Epic, Nextgen, Or Availity Is Highly Desirable As It Can Streamline The Verification Process And Improve Efficiency.
