  1. Dispensing Medications: The Float Pharmacist will be responsible for accurately and efficiently dispensing medications to patients according to prescriptions provided by healthcare providers.
  2. Patient Consultations: The Float Pharmacist will be expected to provide patient consultations, educating them on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
  3. Inventory Management: The Float Pharmacist will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ordering medications and supplies, and monitoring expiration dates to ensure optimal stock levels.
  4. Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: The Float Pharmacist will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure patients receive the best possible care and to collaborate on patient care plans.
  5. Maintain Compliance: The Float Pharmacist will be responsible for adhering to all state and federal laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  6. Staff Management: The Float Pharmacist may be responsible for supervising and training pharmacy staff, ensuring proper workflows and adherence to policies and procedures.
  7. Float Coverage: The Float Pharmacist will be expected to provide coverage at multiple pharmacy locations, as needed, to ensure continuity of patient care.
  8. Quality Assurance: The Float Pharmacist will be responsible for conducting quality assurance checks on medication orders, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
  9. Participate in Continuous Improvement: The Float Pharmacist will contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to improve the delivery of pharmacy services.
  10. Professional Development: The Float Pharmacist will be expected to stay up-to-date on industry developments and participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain their pharmacy license and stay current on best practices.
  11. Customer Service: The Float Pharmacist will provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers, addressing any questions or concerns and resolving any issues that may arise.
  12. Maintain Confidentiality: The Float Pharmacist will be responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality and following HIPAA regulations at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharm.d.) From An Accredited College Or University.

  • Current And Unrestricted Pharmacist License In The State Of Employment.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Licensed Pharmacist In A Retail, Hospital, Or Managed Care Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pharmacy Laws, Regulations, And Standards Of Practice.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Positive Relationships With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Team Members.
