- Conduct regular quality audits of coding processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
- Identify and report any coding errors or discrepancies and work with coding teams to resolve them.
- Develop and implement coding quality improvement initiatives to enhance overall coding accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with coding teams to provide education and training on coding best practices and updates to coding regulations.
- Monitor coding trends and provide recommendations for process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date on coding guidelines and regulations and communicate any changes or updates to coding teams.
- Utilize coding software and tools to perform audits and analyze coding data.
- Communicate coding quality metrics and trends to leadership and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in coding team meetings to discuss coding quality and provide feedback and recommendations.
- Maintain documentation and records of coding quality audits and findings.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure coding processes align with overall company goals and initiatives.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all coding data and information.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on coding quality and provide guidance and support to coding teams.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve coding quality processes and procedures.
- Represent the company in a professional manner and uphold the company's standards and values.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Software Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Coding And Auditing Within The Healthcare Industry.
Strong Knowledge Of Coding Guidelines, Including Icd-10, Cpt, And Hcpcs.
Familiarity With Coding Software And Electronic Health Record Systems.
