- Conduct regular audits of coding processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and investigate any discrepancies or errors in coding and work with coding team to resolve them.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall accuracy and efficiency of coding processes.
- Stay up-to-date with coding guidelines and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any coding-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and support to coding team on best practices and coding guidelines.
- Analyze coding data and generate reports to track and monitor quality metrics.
- Participate in coding team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.
- Act as a subject matter expert on coding processes and guidelines.
- Serve as a liaison with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality within the coding team.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the company's mission and values.
- Proactively identify potential risks or issues in coding processes and escalate them to management.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the coding manager.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Coding Quality Analysis For Healthcare Organizations.
Strong Understanding Of Medical Coding Systems, Such As Icd-10, Cpt, And Hcpcs.
Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Or Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Certification.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills With A Keen Eye For Detail And Accuracy.
