Job Description

The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is seeking a Supervisory Trial Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing HUD in civil court proceedings and providing legal advice to HUD staff. This position requires a commitment to excellence and collaboration with team members to develop strategies for resolving challenging legal matters. To be successful in this role, candidates must have excellent research, writing, and communication skills as well as knowledge of administrative and civil law. Responsibilities:

  1. Represent HUD in civil court proceedings
  2. Provide legal advice to HUD staff
  3. Develop legal strategies for resolving challenging legal matters
  4. Conduct research and analysis of legal documents
  5. Write and edit legal documents
  6. Prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal papers
  7. Analyze and interpret laws, regulations, and court decisions
  8. Collaborate with team members to ensure successful outcomes
  9. Maintain knowledge of administrative and civil law
  10. Demonstrate excellent communication, writing, and research skills
