Job Description

The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) seeks an experienced and motivated Senior Underwriter to join our team. Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze financial data and make underwriting decisions in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders related to underwriting activities.
  3. Prepare written documents and reports to present to internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Monitor and review loan applications to ensure compliance with HUD regulations.
  5. Utilize problem solving skills to troubleshoot underwriting and other related issues.
  6. Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to underwriting.
  7. Ensure accuracy in loan documents and records.
  8. Act as the point of contact regarding underwriting matters.
  9. Stay up to date with new and changing regulations, policies, and procedures.
  10. Participate in training and development activities to keep current on underwriting standards.
