
Senior Underwriter
The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) seeks an experienced and motivated Senior Underwriter to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data and make underwriting decisions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders related to underwriting activities.
- Prepare written documents and reports to present to internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and review loan applications to ensure compliance with HUD regulations.
- Utilize problem solving skills to troubleshoot underwriting and other related issues.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to underwriting.
- Ensure accuracy in loan documents and records.
- Act as the point of contact regarding underwriting matters.
- Stay up to date with new and changing regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in training and development activities to keep current on underwriting standards.
