
International Affairs Specialist

You will be responsible for developing policy guidance, providing technical assistance, and forming relationships with foreign governments, international organizations, and other stakeholders.To qualify for this position, you must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in international affairs, political science, economics, or a related field. You must also have at least one year of professional experience in international affairs, program management, or a related field. Responsibilities: • Develop policy guidance for USDE’s international activities and initiatives • Provide technical assistance to foreign governments, international organizations, and other stakeholders • Form relationships with foreign governments, international organizations, and other stakeholders • Manage and develop international programs • Monitor international affairs and provide updates to USDE • Track and analyze international trends, developments, and potential risks • Collaborate with other government agencies to develop international programs • Assist with international negotiations and agreements • Research and analyze international data and reports • Prepare briefings and other documents for USDE leadership • Represent USDE in international meetings and forums
