Responsibilities of a Transportation Planner:

  1. Develop and implement transportation plans and strategies to meet the needs of the Department of Defense.
  2. Monitor and analyze transportation and logistics data to ensure regulatory compliance.
  3. Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Coordinate with other Departments and organizations to ensure efficient transportation and logistics operations.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and carriers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  6. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective and efficient management of transportation and logistics operations.
  7. Develop and manage transportation and logistics budget.
  8. Identify and analyze potential risks and recommend solutions.
  9. Ensure safe and secure transportation of goods and services.
  10. Troubleshoot transportation and logistics-related issues.
