
Mathematics and Statistics Analyst
The United States Department of Defense is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the role of Mathematics and Statistics Analyst. In this challenging role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing critical data analysis and statistical support to the Department of Defense. This position requires a strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn and grow.The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, or a related field with excellent academic credentials. Additionally, the successful candidate should have at least three years of experience working in a similar role in a government or corporate setting. Experience with data analysis, modeling, and statistical software packages is highly desirable, as is knowledge of defense-related data. The successful candidate should also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide data analysis and statistical support to the Department of Defense
- Analyze and interpret data using modeling and statistical software packages
- Utilize data to identify trends and develop insights
- Develop reports and presentations to communicate insights
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure successful project completion
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity
- Follow all applicable laws and regulations
- Research and document defense-related data
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
