
Automotive Mechanic
The United States Department of Defense is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things automotive and possess a broad range of automotive mechanical and electrical experience. The successful candidate will have an eye for detail and a knack for problem solving and will be expected to maintain, repair and overhaul all types of automotive and related equipment. The successful candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, be highly motivated and be capable of working independently and in a team environment.Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent• ASE Certification or equivalent• Three (3) or more years of experience in automotive maintenance and repair• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings• Knowledge of power tools and hand tools• Ability to work independently and in a team environment• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds• Valid driver’s license• Ability to pass a background check and drug testWe are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team and provide the highest level of service to our customers. Responsibilities: • Maintain, repair, and overhaul all types of automotive and related equipment • Read and interpret technical documents and drawings • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with vehicles using diagnostic tools • Utilize power tools and hand tools to perform maintenance and repairs • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections • Inspect and test vehicles to ensure safety and reliability • Record repair and maintenance work performed on vehicles • Maintain a clean and safe work environment • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures • Provide superior customer service to all customers
