
Aircraft Engine Mechanic
The United States Department of Defense (DoD) is seeking an experienced and qualified Aircraft Engine Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and inspection. As an Aircraft Engine Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of DoD aircraft engines and related systems.We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional who can bring their expertise to the DoD and provide the highest quality of aircraft engine maintenance and repair. To be successful in this position, you must possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification, as well as a minimum of three years of experience in aircraft engine maintenance and operation. Additionally, you must have a strong understanding of aircraft systems and a commitment to safety. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot and diagnose complex engine systems and be comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform aircraft engine maintenance and repair operations in accordance with established safety protocols.
- Inspect aircraft engines and related systems to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex engine systems and identify any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair operations.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive maintenance checks as needed.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment to properly repair and maintain aircraft engines and related systems.
- Adhere to all FAA regulations and safety standards.
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure all maintenance and repair operations are performed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Keep abreast of new technologies and advances in aircraft engine maintenance and repair.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to other mechanics when needed.
